Marksman Security is seeking a dependable, adaptable, and service-driven Part-Time Flex Officer to cover assignments across our client portfolio. This role calls for professionalism, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to keeping people and property safe wherever you're needed.


This post supports one of our most distinguished corporate accounts, where the standard for professionalism, presentation, and precision is exceptionally high - true concierge-level security.

Full-time Flex Officers are guaranteed 40 hours per week after completing their first 90 days. Part-time Flex Officers are guaranteed 24 hours per week.
Flex Officers must maintain reasonable availability based on operational needs - three denied shift offers within a 30-day period may result in removal from the Flex Officer rotation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report to assigned client sites across the portfolio based on operational need, which may include specialized assignments
  • Deter criminal activity and misconduct at each assigned post
  • Respond to alarms, calls of distress, or emergencies such as fire, injuries, or the presence of unauthorized persons by contacting police, fire departments, and/or local emergency response teams
  • Make periodic patrols to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons
  • Prepare clear, concise, and accurate reports for each site worked
  • Operate access control systems, utilize a computer for incident reports, navigate security software systems or applications, and use email
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and appearance across varied assignments
  • Manage multiple tasks, execute radio and telephone communications, and perform in a high-pressure environment
  • Maintain reasonable availability for shift offers based on operational needs
  • Perform other duties as determined by the security supervisor

Qualifications

Applicants must meet one or any reasonable combination of the following:

  • Two years of customer service experience AND one year of verifiable security experience

Requirements

  • Valid FL Security D License
  • Valid FL Driver's License
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
  • Technology skills: operate access control systems, utilize a computer for incident reports, operate security software systems or applications, use email
  • Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and appearance
  • Experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications, and performing in a medium to high pressure environment with frequently changing and/or competing demands
  • Familiarity with report writing
  • Excellent surveillance and observation skills
  • Above-average written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with client staff and the public
  • Willingness and ability to work across multiple client sites and shifts based on operational need
  • Ability to maintain reasonable availability for shift offers
  • Trained in CPR and First Aid preferred
