Position Overview

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings. This is a part-time role with flexible scheduling, ideal for someone who is compassionate, reliable, and eager to help others live more independently.

  • Job Type: Part-time
  • Pay: $16.00 per hour
  • Location: Silver Spring, MD
  • Schedule: Varies by client; evening and weekend options available

Typical schedules range from 10–25 hours per week, depending on client needs and your availability.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide direct care and support to individuals in their homes and in the community.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, light household tasks, and basic academic or skill-building support.
  • Encourage social engagement and community integration by supporting clients in activities such as shopping, going to the park, attending events, or participating in hobbies.
  • Follow and implement individualized support plans and goals tailored to each person’s needs.

Qualifications
