PT- Direct Support Professional (DSP) Support Services
Harford County/ Forrest Hill
Rate of Pay $22/hr
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
We are seeking a Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands-on care to an individual with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Personal Support Services professionals assist individuals and families living in their personal home. Individual programs are designed around the needs and desires of each participant and implemented with attention and care. Whether living alone or with family members, individually tailored services are the best way to support people on their own terms. Services provided are personalized and directed by the individual receiving support and may include but are not limited to: assistance with personal hygiene, activities/outings, social engagement, and shopping.
Support needed for a man in the Towson area. Staff should be outgoing and able to assist with exploring hobbies, learning new skills, money management, and time management. Love animals! Enjoys attending local boat/ car shows, animal expos, and other activities in the area! Assist with learning and strengthening computer skills; identify community resources to build skills as needed.
This position is:
The hours for this position: 10 hours/ week TBD by activities
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with participation and exploration of the community
  • Cultivating and expanding independent living skills
  • Provide assistance with personal hygiene, activities/ outings, social engagement, shopping, planning, cooking, and cleaning.
  • Assisting with the development of meaningful and personal relationships
  • Complete required documentation (e.g., incident reports, progress notes, behavior data, fire drills etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D required

  • Requires use of personal cell phone for mobile documentation and time keeping
