As a Security Officer Part Time Digital Tour Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. This primarily driving post includes operating a vehicle in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, common areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and assist with directing guests and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
  • Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly, communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
