Job description

Position Overview: The Crowne Plaza Minneapolis West Hotel in Plymouth, MN, is looking to add a couple of strong team members to our engineering department. We currently have a full-time opening focused on nights and weekends, as well as a part-time position that will help provide coverage where needed. This is a hands-on role for someone who can work independently, stay productive, and take ownership of their responsibilities while helping keep the hotel running smoothly. Pay will be based onย experience.ย

Hotel Maintenance Technician

The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and building systems to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for guests and team members. This position performs preventative maintenance, responds to maintenance requests, and assists with repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building upkeep. Successful candidates must be self-starters who can work independently, prioritize tasks, and take initiative without constant direction. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work professionally with guests and fellow team members are essential to success in this role. Candidates must also be dependable, accountable, and willing to take ownership of their work while contributing to a team-oriented environment.

Previous hotel maintenance experience is preferred but not required, and we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Experience working in a fast-paced environment and responding to maintenance issues efficiently is highly valued. A Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification and boiler license are preferred but not required. Candidates should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, completing tasks in a timely manner, and maintaining high standards of quality while minimizing disruption to hotel operations and guest experiences.
