Your Opportunity
The role of a Transportation EIT is to work as a team member on small and large projects under the guidance of a Senior Engineer. The Transportation EIT will work under close supervision of a Senior Engineer to develop skills in evaluating, selecting, specifying, and engineering systems or products for a project.
  • Highway and freeway reconstruction and expansion projects
  • Urban street and intersection improvements

  • Transit corridor enhancements
  • Interchange Designs (diamond, cloverleaf, trumpet)
  • Double Crossover Diamond (DCD) Interchange
  • Single Point Urban Interchange (SPUI)
  • Superstreet (RCUT) Intersection

Your Key Responsibilities
A Transportation EIT will perform a variety of tasks which may include assisting with the plans for a variety of roadway projects.
  • Jump in on roadway design projects, from start to finish.
  • Create drawings, specs, and cost estimates that help move projects forward.
  • Collaborate with clients and partners to make sure everyone's happy with the results.
  • Assists team in preparing drawings and reports. Conducts basic calculations and performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Basic understanding of general concepts of relevant areas of civil design.
  • Basic understanding of Microstation and OpenRoads and any other relevant design software and knowledge of calculations performed by the software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Developing cooperative skills in working efficiently with a team.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 0-3 years of experience
  • EIT designation or scheduled to take the exam within one year of degree completion.

Work is mainly in an office with computers, occasionally involving fieldwork or site visits.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
