Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist parts manager in maintaining inventory on a daily basis
  • Place daily parts order
  • Assist parts manager in processing daily stock orders
  • Ensure that unused "outside purchase parts" are returned to vendors
  • Ensure that credits are received for returned parts
  • Remove returned parts from inventory after credit is received
  • Return cores in a timely manner and follow up for receipt of credit
  • Match purchase orders and invoices , approve, and forward to accounting office
  • File company copies of parts invoices
  • Assist counterpeople with cash , check, and credit card processing when available
  • Update parts prices for those parts without supplied tapes
  • Assist in preparing for annual parts inventory
  • Take messages for counterpeople and parts manager when they are unable to answer the phone
  • Keep parts office area clean
  • REQUIREMENTS:
  • Microsoft Word and Excel proficient
  • Accurate, efficient data entry; attention to detail
  • Accounting or Business Degree (will be considered without education if work history is sufficient)
  • Automotive experience is a plus, but not necessary
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to learn in a fast paced environment
  • Valid Texas driver’s license
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Pass drug test
  • Self-disciplined
  • Motivated to go above and beyond the minimum standard
  • Lift up to 40 pounds
  • Able to stoop, kneel, crawl, reach and handle parts and equipment
  • Able to work in an environment that is dusty and where various chemical compounds and paint is used
