Job Description

Work closely with the Compliance Manager to provide technical and organizational leadership for the Head Start program’s database environment.

Qualifications

Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or related field.

Special Knowledge/Skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office user (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Strong computer skills that include hands-on use of a network system and various software applications
  • Strong coordination skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team setting
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Solid understanding of databases and data mining
Experience
  • Strong experience in data collection, data input, database maintenance, and data analysis
  • Experience in staff training preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties
  • Model HCDE and Head Start’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Develop and coordinate relevant report design, production, distribution, storage, and maintenance program.
  • Manage all data projects and prepare required data reports in a timely manner, including but not limited to the annual Program Information Report (PIR), the Annual Report, the Monthly Performance Report, and other reports as requested.
  • Create reports and products based on reporting needs of the programs.
  • Facilitate communication between Head Start and other database administrators and developers.
  • Provide consistent customer service support to center-based staff, Coordinators, and Data Compliance Specialists.
  • Provide database training and orientation, technical assistance, and database support to program users.
  • Serve as the database administrator for the program’s main data collection program by coordinating the development and maintenance of the system.
  • Coordinate relevant report design, production, distribution and storage of data for the Head Start program.
  • Attend meetings with appropriate Head Start staff related to the use of the database.
  • Maintain data confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
