Schedule: Part-time 2nd shift, with rotation weekends, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Overview
Are you passionate about helping individuals reclaim their lives from addiction? As a Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) at Recovery Centers of America (RCA), you will be an integral part of the patient care team, providing direct support to individuals in treatment for substance use disorders. Your role is vital in ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive environment where patients can focus on their recovery journey.
What You'll Do
As a Recovery Support Specialist at RCA, you will:
  • Monitor and support patient activities, ensuring safety through regular checks and observations.
  • Engage directly with patients, facilitating therapeutic interactions, group sessions, and scheduled activities.
  • Assist with admissions and discharges, including processing belongings, documentation, and patient orientation.
  • Support crisis intervention through verbal de-escalation and against-advice interventions.
  • Facilitate patient movement within the facility and assist in coordinating attendance for clinical and medical appointments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, safety checks, and incidents.
