The Opportunity:
For an organization to transform in today's digital world, it needs to properly collect, store, and organize its data. Effective data management can enable more efficient operations, yielding more growth. As a data architect, you know how to apply your creative-thinking and analytical mindset to help organizations manage their data assets. We're looking for an experienced data architect like you to deliver leading-edge solutions for national security cyber missions.
As a data architect on our national security team, you'll use your extensive technical expertise to design and optimize data architecture solutions for cyber operations data governance as well as analytic and reporting dataflow. You'll resolve routine data architecture-related issues in collaboration with business analysts and technology teams by analyzing data architecture-related mission and business needs and working with client staff to make decisions and recommendations on future data architecture developments.
In this role, you'll grow your technical expertise, apply best practices, and use tools to design databases and query databases, create data models, document and visualize as-is architecture to inform to-be architecture. You'll guide your team as it designs, defines, develops, and tests cloud solution components, and you'll serve as a liaison between clients and developers to ensure that requirements are met and solutions are delivered.
With your drive to establish processes and lead technological innovation, you'll make a lasting impact on national security cyber operations.
What You'll Work On:
  • Analyze and plan for anticipated changes in data capacity requirements.
  • Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan the development of a new application or modification of an existing application.
  • Consult with customers and key stakeholders to evaluate functional requirements for AI and data applications.
  • Provide recommendations on new database technologies and architectures.
  • Confer with systems analysts, engineers, and programmers to design applications.
  • Advise higher level leadership on critical data management issues.
  • Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating operations, applications, and programming.
  • Prepare database design and architecture reports.
  • Effectively allocate storage capacity in the design of data management systems.

You Have:
  • Experience documenting, designing, creating, and deploying data architectures and database solutions for IT systems and their users
  • Experience guiding teams in converting requirements into implementation plans
  • Experience capturing and establishing clear, concise, and executable data standards
  • Experience developing performance metrics to demonstrate system performance
  • Knowledge of making system data readily available, secure, tagged, formatted, and accessible
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience with data architecture or HS diploma or GED and 6+ years of experience with data architecture

  • Experience with USCYBERCOM tools and data sources
  • Experience with software engineering management
  • Experience with data visualizations

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
