To thrive as a Part Time Data Governance professional, you need a solid understanding of data management principles, regulatory compliance, and data quality, often supported by a degree in information systems or a related field. Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data catalog tools (such as Collibra or Alation), and proficiency in data privacy regulations like GDPR is typically required. Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and stakeholder management are essential soft skills for success in this role.
