Job description

About Artemis
Digital finance is the merging of traditional and crypto-enabled finance, with companies like Stripe, JPM, and Robinhood moving onchain. Legacy platforms like Bloomberg and FactSet were not built for this convergence.
Artemis is creating the next-generation research and investing platform for digital finance, organizing data and analytics for fintech, tokens, stablecoins, and relevant public equities. We offer a "Bloomberg-like" Terminal, Excel plugins, APIs, and Snowflake Data Shares trusted by industry leaders (Visa, Circle, Grayscale, etc.) and the world's most elite asset managers. Our mission is to realize crypto's open financial system and empower investors in digital finance.
Who We Are
"Humans wanted for hazardous journey. Small wages, bitter cold, long months of complete darkness, constant danger. Safe return doubtful. Honor and recognition in case of success" - Ernest Shackleton, Antarctic Explorer
At Artemis we are doing really challenging things, very much inspired by Ernest Shackleton's mindset. Hard things are not for everyone, only the select few who have superhuman levels of mental fortitude, optimism, compassion, and courage.
If this is who you are - join us.
We are a team of crypto-natives and TradFi ex-analysts coming from Meta, Coinbase, BlackRock, Messari, Ribbit Capital, EY Blockchain, and Insight Partners. We raised capital from the best venture capitalists in the world.
Job Overview
Artemis is looking for a Research Analyst on a part-time hourly basis to help build out our initial research coverage and prove the research product. You will produce sell-side quality equity research covering the companies and tokens at the intersection of crypto and traditional fintech - initiating coverage on a defined set of names, building the models, and delivering a portfolio of published research. This is a focused engagement with the potential to convert into a full-time role based on performance and impact.
What you'll do:
Write actionable, sell-side quality research on individual securities and revenue-generating tokens with clear thesis points and price targets
Build and maintain financial models (DCF, comps) with bear/base/bull case scenarios for each name in your coverage set
Initiate coverage on a defined set of names across crypto equities and revenue generating tokens in Neobanks, Payments, Lending, Trading, and Prediction Markets (https://app.artemisanalytics.com/comparables)
Develop and defend investment theses backed by rigorous fundamental analysis
Stay on top of earnings, filings, and market-moving developments across your coverage set
Deliver a portfolio of published research over the 6-month engagement that demonstrates the value of Artemis as a research platform
Contribute to Artemis' vision of the ultimate investing platform for fintech - where equities and crypto converge in one place
Who you are
You have experience in equity research, investment banking, or asset management
You have strong financial modeling skills and are comfortable building DCFs, comps, and scenario analyses from scratch
You can hit the ground running - you've written research or built models professionally and can produce quality output with minimal ramp-up
You're deeply passionate about crypto and fintech - you follow the space, have conviction on names, and believe equities and crypto are converging
You can write clearly and persuasively - your research reads like something a portfolio manager would act on
You're self-directed and thrive in fast-moving environments where you need to figure things out
Based in the broader New York City area
You move fast and have high agency. You don't wait for perfect information - you form a view, test it, and iterate
Bonus: You have experience covering fintech, payments, or digital assets
Bonus: You've published research that was read and acted on by institutional investors
Why join Artemis
Prove and build: Shape Artemis' research product from the early days - with a clear path to a permanent role if the work speaks for itself
Exceptional team: Work alongside crypto-natives and ex-TradFi analysts from Meta, Coinbase, BlackRock, Messari, and top VCs
Real traction: Rapidly growing monthly active users, 10M+ monthly API calls, and institutional customers including Visa, Circle, Tether, large asset managers, and top sell-side banks
At the forefront of convergence: Be at the center of the most important trend in finance - the merging of crypto and traditional equities - and shape how the world researches and invests in fintech
Mission that matters: Help build the open financial system that makes investing accessible to everyone, everywhere
Next Steps
Send your resume and pitch (3 pages MAX) on a token or crypto-linked equity with clear thesis points, an actionable long or short recommendation, price target, bear/base/bull, and financial model (DCF, comparables, earnings multiple, etc) to mario@artemisanalytics.com.
