Part-Time Customer Service Representative (CSR)

Position Summary:
The Part-Time Customer Service Representative (CSR) provides exceptional customer care while actively promoting and booking our chimney and hearth services. This role serves as a customer service leader during scheduled shifts by helping maintain efficient office operations, supporting teammates, and ensuring every customer interaction reflects Chimney Cricket's commitment to professionalism and service.
The ideal candidate is an organized, dependable, and solutions-oriented professional who enjoys helping customers, supporting sales initiatives, and creating a positive experience for both customers and coworkers. This position is ideal for someone seeking a flexible part-time schedule while making a meaningful impact on our customers and team.
Responsibilities:
GOAL: Facilitate efficient and timely booking of service and project appointments 
Customer Service:
  • Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and online inquiries promptly and professionally
  • Assist customers with scheduling, rescheduling, and general service questions
  • Maintain a calm, solutions-oriented attitude with both routine and urgent customer needs
  • Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction
  • Accurately document all customer interactions in our CRM system
Sales & Booking:
  • Educate callers on our services, processes, and seasonal maintenance needs
  • Actively listen to uncover additional service opportunities during inbound calls
  • Convert inquiries into booked appointments using a soft-sales approach
  • Upsell/Recommend additional services (e.g., inspections, dryer vent cleaning, hearth upgrades)
  • Make proactive outbound calls to past customers for seasonal service and membership opportunities during designated calling periods. 
  • Meet or exceed booking goals and upsell targets
  • Support the Sales Manager with lead follow-up, estimate prep, CRM updates, and goal alignment.
  • Assist with sales operations, reporting, and customer follow-ups to ensure smooth execution.
  • Handle daily sales support tasks, including updating estimates, tracking leads, and reaching out to customers.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • 2+ years in a customer-facing role (sales, customer service, or appointment booking preferred).
  • Friendly, confident, and professional phone presence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Familiarity with service scheduling software or CRM systems (ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, or similar) preferred.
  • Availability to work a consistent part-time schedule, including occasional flexibility during seasonal peak periods.
