What You'll Do
  1. Prepare and cook high-quality meals for both restaurant guests and banquet events
  2. Set up and maintain your assigned station before each shift
  3. Prepare meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, sauces, and side dishes according to recipes
  4. Execute breakfast, lunch, dinner, and banquet production as assigned
  5. Maintain consistency, presentation, and portion control on every plate
  6. Support banquet production during weddings, conferences, meetings, and special events
  7. Work closely with fellow cooks, chefs, stewards, and servers to ensure exceptional guest experiences
  8. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation throughout every shift

Prepare daily production lists accurately

Read and follow standardized recipes

Cook broiled, grilled, sauteed, roasted, and baked menu items

Inspect ingredients to ensure freshness and quality

Rotate and store food using proper food safety procedures

Monitor food temperatures for cooking, cooling, reheating, and storage

Follow all health department regulations and sanitation standards

Practice safe knife handling and proper equipment operation

Support restaurant and banquet operations during busy service periods

Assist teammates wherever needed to keep service running smoothly

  1. Current Food Handler Card (or ability to obtain one)
  2. Restaurant, hotel, banquet, catering, or commercial kitchen experience preferred
  3. Experience with saute, grill, broiler, breakfast, prep, or banquet cooking is a plus
  4. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and commercial kitchen equipment
  5. Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP principles
  6. Ability to follow recipes, portion standards, and production schedules
  7. Strong communication skills and a positive team attitude
