Calla Residence – Vitæ Group Saint-Sacrement District, Quebec The Calla Residence is looking for a cook to complete its food service team. Our residence welcomes seniors experiencing a loss of physical or cognitive autonomy. For our residents, meals represent much more than a basic need: they are also a source of pleasure, comfort, and social interaction. We are looking for a reliable, independent, and organized individual who wants to contribute to the well-being of our residents by providing them with delicious, high-quality meals. Working hours: Permanent part-time position; Every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Every Tuesday, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; Possibility of working more hours during holidays, public holidays or to meet replacement needs. Salary : From $24.97 to $29.84 per hour, according to the applicable salary scale. Main responsibilities: Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and recipes; Make the necessary preparations for lunch and dinner; Respect portion sizes, preparation methods and service times; Ensure the quality, presentation and temperature of the food; Take into account the specific needs of residents, including adapted textures and dietary restrictions; Participate in the service and distribution of meals; Collaborating with the head chef and other team members; Keep work surfaces, equipment and storage areas clean and safe; Comply with hygiene, sanitation and food storage standards; Rotate products and help reduce food waste; Participate in the continuous improvement of meal quality and service; Perform any other related tasks necessary for the proper functioning of the kitchen.
