About the Position
Event Staffing, City of Las Vegas Parking Services (Part Time/On Call)
Career Opportunity
The City of Las Vegas is seeking qualified customer service oriented staff to work with our events parking section. This position requires interaction with customers and the use of a portable/handheld POS (Point of Sales) system. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality, be reliable and have a flexible work schedule, prior money handling is a plus.
This is an outside job for the majority of time, the ability to work in all types of environments and inclement weather is preferred.
Examples of events: Smith Center event parking, First Friday event parking, Cashman Soccer games and downtown concert event parking.
Training will be provided.
Example of Duties
Event staff should be:
  • Friendly and customer service oriented
  • Prior cash handling is a plus
  • Ability to work varied shifts and hours
    1. Based on event activity (Example 1st Fridays and Smith Center events)
    2. Typically a 5.5 - 10 hr. shift (based on event needs)
    3. Typically Thurs - Sundays afternoons and evenings
    4. Weekly schedule provided in advance
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work outside in inclement weather
  • Ability to use and speak clearly on a handheld radio
  • Work environment is typically inside a parking lot, cashiering, traffic control and directing traffic flow, customer service excellence is a must!
