Part Time Janitor
Location: Lakewood, CO
Salary Range: $19 - $21/ hour
Target Fill Date: Applications accepted on an ongoing basis
Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design is seeking an experienced Janitor on our beautiful, historic campus in Lakewood, CO. This role is responsible for the general cleaning and maintenance of offices, classrooms, and common spaces, including but not limited to restrooms, trash, floors, walls, and windows.
Candidates must live within commuting distance of our campus and have reliable transportation.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures
  • Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash container, replace light bulbs
  • Refill restroom dispensers
  • Strip, clean, buff and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors, vacuum and shampoo carpets
  • Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools including buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high speed buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.
  • Wash walls and equipment; use ladders when required
  • Lock and unlock assigned buildings: secure building when facilities are not in use checking for unlocked doors and windows, report any unauthorized occupants, turn off the lights
  • Follow instructions regarding the appropriate use of chemicals and supplies
  • Perform cleaning and related activities such as removing snow or debris from sidewalks and stairs using hand-operated tools or small power equipment
  • Move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools on an incidental basis
  • Wash accessible interior and exterior windows; clean blinds
  • Launder cleaning rags and dust mops
  • Additional duties as assigned
