About the Opportunity

WinnCompanies is searching for an adaptable and experienced Service Request Coordinator to join our team at Carver Terrace, a 312-unit affordable housing community located in Washington, D.C. 

In this role, you will assist with the overall operation of the maintenance service call functions and preventative maintenance program. 

The pay for this role is $30.00 per hour. Please note that this is a part-time position, which is not eligible for Winn benefits and will work 20 hours per week. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Receive and record service requests for residents; answer phones and accept service calls in addition to performing data entry duties for all service calls generated from city agency violations and received from answering service. 
  • Track the current status of all Housing Department complaints violations on a routine basis, working on-site team to ensure timely certification of all violations issued by the city. 
  • Provide administrative support to DOF and Violations Specialist as needed. 
  • Schedule regional and national vendors for service calls including but not limited to: pest control services, appliance repair/replacement, etc. 
  • Act as regional office receptionist as needed addressing resident issues, accepting rent payments, intake and sorting of mail, etc. 

Requirements:  

  • High School Diploma or GED/ Bachelor's degree.  
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience. 
  • Experience with computer systems required which, include web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which includes Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access. 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to documentation accuracy. 
  • Excellent customer service skills. 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Associate’s degree. 
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC.
