Job description

As a Morning Logistics Associate, you will assist Freeman Herbs Inc. with the effective coordination and distribution of our fresh produce by helping to plan, execute, and support supply chain and transportation operations. In this part-time role, you will help ensure the timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of products to our customers and retail partners while providing administrative and operational support to the logistics team.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with routing, scheduling, and coordinating drivers and transportation activities.
  • Help prepare daily driver paperwork for outbound freight shipments.
  • Maintain and update U.S. and Canadian freight cost spreadsheets and records.
  • Prepare customs documentation for U.S.-bound shipments and assist the Sales Department with customs-related processes as required.
  • Enter rack pickups into Exogen and assist with scheduling and coordinating truck pickups.
  • Help coordinate repair and maintenance services for company-owned and rental trucks.
  • Assist with managing truck rentals during peak seasons, including maintaining records and arranging repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Assist with general administrative and logistics-related tasks as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Post-secondary diploma, degree, or current enrollment in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an asset.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong computer and data-entry skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to achieving goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while providing support to a broader team.
  • Schedule is 8:00AM to 12:00PM from Monday to Friday - candidate must be available all five days
