Introduction: IDN-Canada is seeking a skilled Inside Sales Representative with experience in locksmith and security hardware industry to fill an existing vacancy.

Position: Inside Sales Representative

Location: Scarborough, ON (On-site)

Salary: $40,000 to $70,000

Job Type: Permanent Full-time

Business Hours: Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Job Overview

The Inside Sales Representative is an entry-level role responsible for supporting branch operations through customer service, warehouse, and sales support activities. The incumbent will develop product knowledge, operational expertise, and customer relationships while assisting with daily branch functions. Through training and hands-on experience, the successful candidate will progressively take on greater sales responsibilities and contribute to the growth and success of the branch.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in person, by phone and electronically
  • Utilize computer systems to provide information on price and availability
  • Maintain professionalism when interacting with customers and represent our clients with integrity
  • Develop and maintain in-depth product knowledge and an ability to educate customers
  • Identify and assess customers' needs to achieve satisfaction and customer retention
  • Contact manufacturers/vendors for product information and to ensure deadlines are met
  • Support other branch employees

Requirements:

  • 1–2 years of customer service and/or sales experience is considered an asset
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
  • Strong team-oriented mindset and ability to contribute to a positive, collaborative branch atmosphere
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as working in a cohesive team environment
