Job description

Rush Truck Centres of Canada is a part of the largest commercial vehicle dealership group, Rush Enterprises, in North America. We represent a wide range of industry-leading truck and trailer brands backed by parts, sales, service, collision repair, lease and rental support. With 15 locations in Ontario and almost 600 employees, we want the best and brightest dealership operations professionals to join our team.


The Office Administrator provides support to our Markham dealership, ensuring services are provided in an effective and efficient manner, and reports directly to the General Manager. This is a part-time position from Monday to Friday for 25 hours/week with no benefits.

Responsibilities

Daily Duties

  • Ensure compliance of all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, as well as the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
  • Greet customers & answer all emails in a timely manner.
  • Print all invoices and match with packing slips
  • Review discrepancies with Shipper/Receivers
  • Run Cash sales report daily and email to GM with updated notes.
  • Work on Credit Card summary/ POS settlement.
  • Ask for coding for TRUCK Purchases/licensing etc.
  • Bank runs when needed.
  • Perform Workflows as required.
  • Work on creating Purchase Orders for invoices.
  • Follow up with invoices needing processing.
  • Run daily reports for the Service and Parts departments.
  • Process mail through the postage meter
  • Filing
  • All returns must have proper documentation.
  • Review the Business Workplace daily.
  • Additional tasks may be required from Managers
  •  
  • Other related duties as assigned by management from time to time

Monthly Duties

  • Work on the Comdata report
  • Work on expenses- Match credit card receipts to all credit card charges
  • Review Credits and provide Return PO for all vendor returns
  • Order office supplies
  • Order Coffee supplies
  • Attend monthly meetings and take notes for all meetings.
  • Run monthly reports
  • Additional tasks may be required from GMs

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
  • Previous Dealership experience is an asset.
  • SAP Experience is an asset.
  • Competency in the following areas: customer experience, administrative skills, time management, proficiency with computer software ( Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Driver’s Abstract
