Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Cybersecurity instructor for our client. This job is responsible for assisting in achieving the mission and vision of the client by focusing on the student success and academy outcomes. This role is also expected to be comfortable with public speaking as well as working among peer groups. Must possess a CompTIA A+, Network+ or Security+ Certification.
What’s a Typical Day Like?
  • Instruct CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+ coursework to class sizes of up to 20 students per class.
  • Prepare students to successfully pass the MO-400, CompTIA A+, Network+ or Security + certification exams.
  • Coach students one-on-one to academic and certification success.
  • Must be able to answer student questions concisely and accurately.
  • Manage and coordinate curriculum to ensure students receive top-tier training and instruction.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
  • Establish and communicate clear learning objectives for all instructional activities.
  • Prepare classroom and appropriate learning aides for class activities.
  • Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in classroom instruction.
  • Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
  • Use relevant technology to support instruction.
  • Observe and evaluate student's performance and development.
  • Provide appropriate feedback necessary for student development.
  • Encourage and monitor the student progress and assist where necessary.
  • Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing academy policies and procedures.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the policies and disciplinary systems of the academy.
  • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and administrative staff regarding student progress and student needs.
  • Keep updated with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
  • Previous experience managing student attendance, assignment, participation, and examination records is preferred.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple classes and handle typical student issues.
  • Currently have or able to obtain the certifications relative to the courses being taught in the classroom.
  • Must be able to work both day and/or evening hours.
  • Must be able to captivate and inspire an audience.
  • Self-motivation.
  • High energy level.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Candidates with a different combination of technical training experience and practical work experience will be considered.
  • Candidates experience teaching in a classroom is referred to or/and in a synchronous environment.
    Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
  • Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
  • Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Can be remote, but we're leaning on the thought that the candidate should be based in Ohio, Kentucky, or Indiana.
