Job description

Do you love great food? Are you passionate about sustainability? Join the team at Clover!

At Clover, we take a one-of-a-kind approach to quick-serve meals. We source our ingredients from local farms and businesses. We are looking for team members who share our love for food, enjoy collaborating with others, and want to grow with us.

We currently operate restaurants throughout the Boston and Cambridge areas.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

No culinary degree? No problem. Our team members come from all walks of life—from fast food to fine dining, retail, photography, outdoor recreation, and recent grads. We provide exceptional, paid onboarding to guide you through customer service, food preparation, and leadership.

What You’ll Do

As a Team Member, you will play a vital role in creating great experiences for our guests. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Food Prep: Washing, chopping, and preparing fresh, local vegetables and ingredients.
  • Cooking & Crafting: Making our signature sandwiches, platters, sides, and drinks.
  • Clover-Guiding: Welcoming guests, taking orders on electronic tablets/POS systems, and guiding them through our menu.
  • Quality Control: Ensuring food meets our high standards (which includes tasting our delicious recipes!).
  • Maintaining the Space: Dishwashing and cleaning stations and the restaurant to keep our restaurants sparkling and safe.

Requirements

What We Are Looking For

  • A desire to learn, grow, and contribute to a supportive team environment.
  • A friendly, polite, and helpful attitude toward customers and coworkers.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, which may include evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs throughout a shift (with or without reasonable accommodation).

Don’t meet every single requirement? We are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be the right candidate for this or other roles.

Clover Food Lab is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against otherwise qualified applicants on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, ancestry, age, sex, marital status, national origin, disability or handicap, or veteran status.

Benefits

What You’ll Earn & Your Perks

We believe in rewarding growth and transparency. Your baseline pay structure includes:

  • Great Earning Potential: Start at $13.25/hour base pay, plus eligibility for our tip pool. Tips are fantastic and average an additional $5/hour, bringing your expected starting take-home pay to around $18.25/hour (well above the Massachusetts standard minimum wage).
  • Guaranteed Quick Raise: Receive a $1.00/hour raise as soon as you successfully complete your paid training and promote from a provisional employee to a full Team Member.
  • Career Growth: Many of our managers and operations staff started as Team Members—there is tons of room to build a meaningful career.
  • Health & Wellness: Full health, vision, and dental benefits available for full-time employees.
  • Food & Fun: Enjoy generous discounts on Clover meals, field trips to local farms and coffee roasters, and a chance to pitch your own recipes at our food development meetings.
  • Flexibility: We offer both part-time and full-time opportunities with accommodating scheduling.
  • Referral Bonus: Earn $300 when you refer a friend to join the team.
