Nurse Practitioner | Greenwood Village, CO
Reporting to the Clinical Site Supervisor
Employment Type: Part Time (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for 30 hours per week). This role is benefits eligible.
Physician Assistants will not be considered. Nurse Practitioner only.

Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA) is comprised of over 130 radiologists. All with exceptional skill and expertise, most are fellowship-trained in their field of specialty for additional certification. We are dedicated to accurate and efficient patient diagnosis not matter what their condition. Our interventional radiologists perform some of the most leading-edge treatments available today. We partner with primary care physicians and hospitals across Colorado and Hawaii to provide a resource for both patients and physicians.

Primary Responsibilities:
During a typical day you will...

  • Counsel and obtain consents for patients having procedures in the breast biopsy suite
  • Review medical histories and clear each patient for breast biopsy and pre-surgical procedures
  • Coordinates the patientโ€™s care with the radiologist, biopsy technologists and circulating nurse with in the outpatient surgery center
  • Point of contact for patients and referring physicianโ€™s offices regarding planned procedures. Educates and assists patients with questions prior to their scheduled biopsy procedure
  • Follows up with patients who have post biopsy concerns and coordinates post biopsy evaluations as needed
  • Previews and documents all surgical cases and coordinates pre-surgical procedure plan with the radiologist, technologists, and surgeonโ€™s office
  • Attends weekly Multidisciplinary Breast Conference (Tumor Board), documents case discussions and treatment plans
  • Helps to develop protocols for the biopsy suite, participates in research studies and training courses
  • Assists with quality control, compliance and/or OSHA, HIPAA and AAAHC requirements
  • Maintain values congruent with the Code of Ethics as well as adhering to national, institutional and/or departmental standards, policies, and procedures regarding the standards ofย care for patients
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Advanced Practice Nurse required (Womenโ€™s Health NP strongly preferred)
  • Knowledge of diagnostic breast imaging and breast cancer diagnosis, or willingness to learn
  • BLS Certified
  • Prescriptive authority / DEA license
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and minimal supervision
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    Compensation is between $55 and $70 per hour dependent on experience.

    In accordance with Colorado law, the range provided is Radiology Imaging Associateโ€™s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role, and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Applications will be received on an ongoing basis, and this position will remain open until filled.

    Full-time employees will become eligible for benefits on the 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment. Part-time employees may have access to some of these benefits, which may be on a pro-rated basis. PRN employees are not eligible for benefits.
