Job Description
Snap Fitness 24/7 Iowa Colony is seeking motivated Group Fitness Instructors to join our founding team. The right candidate will have a passion for fitness, a desire to motivate others, and a positive, upbeat attitude. This is a flexible, pay-per-class opportunity to help build our group class program from the ground up as part of a brand-new, locally and veteran-owned club. This role reports directly to ownership.
Responsibilities
Class Instruction - Plan and lead engaging, safe, and effective group fitness classes (e.g., HIIT, strength, bootcamp, cycle, or yoga, depending on certification).
Member Experience - Create a welcoming, high-energy environment that keeps members coming back week after week.
Safety & Modifications - Monitor member form throughout class and offer modifications for different fitness levels.
Class Promotion - Help promote classes to members and prospective members, including through social media content, and support sign-up/attendance tracking.
Facility Standards - Ensure the class space and equipment are set up, clean, and put away properly before and after each session, and help keep shared areas, including the floor, bathrooms, studio, recovery rooms, and entryways, clean and organized.
Punctuality & Reliability - Arrive prepared and on time for every scheduled class; provide advance notice for any changes.
Schedule & Club Details
● This is a part-time, pay-per-class position. Class schedule and format will be finalized with instructors directly.
● Instructors may be scheduled for early morning, evening, and/or weekend classes based on member demand and instructor availability.
Requirements
● Minimum 18 years of age.
● High school diploma or equivalent.
● Current group fitness instructor certification (AFAA, ACE, NASM, ACSM, or format-specific certification such as Schwinn Cycle, RYT-200 yoga, etc.), or agreement to obtain certification within 60 days of starting.
● First Aid & CPR/AED certified, or willingness to obtain certification within 30 days of starting.
● Strong communication and motivational skills.
● Ability to lead and energize a room of members with different fitness levels.
● Reliable and punctual.
Preferred / A Plus
● Experience teaching multiple class formats.
● Previous experience building a class following at another club or studio.
● Comfortable being featured in class promotion content on social media.
