Position Summary The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for Montgomery Place, including the Healthcare Center, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Life Care at Home, Resident Services, Transportation, Security, and other assigned operational departments. The COO works closely with the President & CEO to ensure exceptional resident care and services, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, and employee engagement throughout the organization. As a member of the senior leadership team, the COO is responsible for implementing organizational strategies, supporting growth initiatives, fostering a culture of accountability and service excellence, and ensuring that Montgomery Place continues to fulfill its mission of serving older adults with dignity, engagement, caring, integrity, and quality.

Pay range: $150k - $180k annual salary based on experience Benefits may include depending on full or part-time status: Access to health, dental and vision benefits 401k retirement plan with company match Education Assistance Program Company paid life insurance Access to other benefits like Short Term Disability and Accident coverage Generous paid time off Paid Holidays Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operations Leadership Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for Healthcare Services, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Life Care at Home, Resident Services, Transportation, Security, and other assigned operational departments. Ensure all operational areas deliver exceptional customer service and resident-centered care. Establish operational goals and performance expectations that align with organizational objectives.

Monitor operational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Promote collaboration and communication across departments to ensure seamless service delivery. Evaluate and improve operational systems, workflows, and processes.

Ensure efficient utilization of organizational resources while maintaining quality standards. Participate in organizational strategic planning and implementation. Healthcare Operations and Quality Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing healthcare, assisted living, memory care, and home care operations.

Support clinical leadership in maintaining high-quality resident care and service outcomes. Promote a culture of resident safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. Ensure readiness for state surveys, inspections, audits, and accreditation reviews.

Monitor quality indicators and implement corrective action plans when necessary. Collaborate with clinical leadership to address resident concerns, risk management issues, and service opportunities. Resident Experience Foster a resident-centered culture focused on dignity, respect, engagement, and quality of life.

Support programs and services that enhance resident satisfaction and well-being. Respond appropriately to resident and family concerns and facilitate timely resolution. Ensure operational departments consistently provide excellent customer service.

Partner with resident committees and leadership groups to strengthen communication and engagement. Leadership and Team Development Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing team members. Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to department directors and managers.

Foster employee engagement and professional development opportunities. Conduct performance evaluations and support succession planning initiatives. Promote a positive workplace culture that reflects Montgomery Place's mission and values.

Encourage teamwork, innovation, and continuous learning. Financial Management Assist in the preparation and management of annual operating and capital budgets. Monitor departmental financial performance and productivity measures.

Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency while maintaining service excellence. Support revenue growth through operational performance, resident satisfaction, and service quality. Ensure responsible stewardship of organizational resources.

Strategic Growth and Community Relations Collaborate with the President & CEO and leadership team on strategic growth initiatives and service line development. Support occupancy and retention efforts through exceptional resident experience and operational excellence. Participate as a member of the marketing and outreach team, providing operational insight and support for organizational initiatives.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, referral sources, healthcare providers, community organizations, and business partners. Represent Montgomery Place at professional, community, and industry events as appropriate. Assist with grants, partnerships, and special projects that support organizational goals and community impact.

Development and Philanthropic Support Support organizational fundraising and stewardship efforts as requested by the President & CEO. Participate in donor, resident, family, and community events that strengthen relationships with Montgomery Place. Assist with identifying partnership and grant opportunities that support programs and services.

Collaborate with leadership on initiatives that support the Care Assurance Fund and organizational sustainability. Serve as an ambassador for Montgomery Place and its mission within the broader community. General Responsibilities Adhere to all Montgomery Place policies, procedures, and standards.

Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all applicable regulations. Participate in required education and training programs. Support and model Montgomery Place's mission, vision, and values.

Maintain professional relationships with residents, families, staff, vendors, and community stakeholders. Perform other duties as assigned by the President & CEO. .
