HOTEL REVIVAL is hiring A Part-Time Night Auditor:
Hotel Revival is a 107-key art-centric boutique hotel located in Baltimore's historic Mount Vernon neighborhood, home to 19th-century architecture, lush parks, iconic churches, galleries, restaurants, and cultural venues. It embodies Baltimore by showcasing local products, the city's history, and native cuisine. This award-winning property is internationally recognized for its commitment to the ongoing restoration of Baltimore and its success in social impact.
Job Overview:
A Night Auditor is responsible for making our guests feel welcome and setting the tone for their experience. This role is responsible for checking in guests, handling overnight requests, end-of-day bookkeeping, auditing, and account reconciliation. Night Auditors will produce reports, complete end-of-day tasks, and set morning teams up for success. The person in this role must possess good communication skills, resolve conflicts, and maintain a thorough understanding of company policies.
What you'll do:
  • Support all aspects of the guest experience
  • Organize pre-stay communications and planning, working closely with internal departments to create seamless experiences for guests
  • Check guests in and out for their stay in a confident, professional, and personalized manner
  • Take hotel reservations accurately and efficiently;
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of hotel availability and current rates and/or special events
  • Ensure immediate response is given to all guest comments and concerns and assist in implementing corrective measures when necessary
  • Open, secure, and balance out shift banks to include the verification of all cash, credit card, and room charge transactions during all shifts
  • Audit and correct all guest charges and postings for the day
  • Reconcile daily sales activity and close accounts in preparation for the next day
  • Prepare and distribute daily reports
  • Maintain accuracy with all accounting and billing procedures
  • Ensure all calls are answered in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner; maintain an accurate log of calls and ensure completion of all items
  • Possess fluent knowledge of local restaurants, special events, city attractions, amenities, and directions
  • Ensure open lines of communication with all departments and upper management at all times to ensure all hotel needs are met
  • Collaborate with the operations leadership team to establish department goals and metrics
  • Assist in supervising overnight team members as applicable

  • You have a High school diploma or a general education degree (GED).
  • 6+ months of related experience in the hospitality or service industry preferred.
  • You are available to work overnight shifts.
  • You believe in hospitality, deeply and passionately.
  • You are proficient with administrative duties and have strong computer skills.
  • You can pick up on software programs quickly.
  • You know how important relationships are and you find joy in growing and maintaining new ones.
  • You use your time wisely and are an expert in prioritizing and multi-tasking.
  • You're thorough, have excellent communication, and pay close attention to detail.
  • You're patient and able to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • You have a strong work ethic and can work both autonomously and with a team.
