Part Time Cal Oes Law Enforcement Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Primary Purpose of Position Law Enforcement Instructors prepare students for state and national credentials as well as provide high quality continuing education for current credentialed workers. Classes include BLET, Telecommunication, Detention Officer and In Service. This position posting runs on a continuous open cycle and creates a pool of candidates for consideration when part-time employment is available.

Applicants are reviewed when they apply and hiring supervisors are notified of all qualified applicants. Essential Job Duties Provide classroom instruction using effective teaching methods. Instruction is to be provided based on the most current Criminal Justice standards. Provides classroom instruction using effective teaching methods.

Responsible for a safe learning environment Needs to have the ability to organize and present various curriculum concepts to a wide range of students with varying backgrounds and abilities and adjust teaching techniques accordingly. Needs strong communication skills to deliver course content. Responsible for the creation and revision of lesson plans.

Establishes academic goals and objectives for student success. Measures student learning outcomes and progress. Must evaluate and report student performances and progress in class in accordance with college and division policy and procedures.

Responsible for accurate record keeping of student attendance and academic progress. Responsible for keeping supervisor aware of any student issues. Responsible for keeping supervisor aware of any supply or equipment needs.

Provides academic counseling as appropriate. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum: Must hold NC General Instructor for Law Enforcement. 2-3 years of experience with criminal justice position with municipality, county, state or federal government.

Possess good communication skills. Preferred: Prior teaching experience, especially within a Community College setting.
