The Iron County School District supports families in developing college and career readiness by BUILDING knowledge, skills and relationships for ALL. Empowering ALL to learn at high-levels through systematic district and school-wide supports.
The Transportation Department is seeking Part Time Trip Bus Driver. This position will remain open until filled.
The Part Time Trip Bus Driver is under the direction of the School Transportation Administrators and in cooperation with School Principals, the Driver operates a school bus to designated locations to transport students, assists in general maintenance/pre and post tripping the school bus, and performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Drives a school bus to designated trip locations in accordance with time schedules and adjusts to schedule changes as they occur.
  • Picks up and discharges students; assists in loading and unloading students from the bus.
  • Maintains departure and arrival times as scheduled.
  • Follows established procedures for emergencies.
  • Follows appropriate bus cleaning procedures. Submits data as required, including pre trip and post trip inspections, fuel reports, as well as student counts.
  • Transports students and instructors on special trips/activities
  • Enforces a Student Management Plan. Enforces and maintains a positive discipline procedure on the bus.
  • Effectively communicates with school principals, athletic directors, coaches, teachers and transportation administrators.
  • Follows conduct procedures when as contacting parents.
  • Must have basic computer knowledge, be familiar with Google docs and check email frequently. Must be willing to learn and use all computer systems and software as needed.
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance and job performance is required.
  • Fill in as relief driver as needed and assigned by transportation department. (Relief Pay)
