Job description

Position Summary:
A critical role in construction and mining sectors, front end loader operators utilize heavy machinery to load and transport materials. Key duties include adeptly operating front-end loaders and adhering to safety protocols when handling materials for various tasks and projects.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate front-end loader safely and efficiently
  • Perform daily inspections and maintenance checks on equipment
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and railcars
  • Move materials around job site as directed by supervisor
  • Ensure that materials are handled and stored in a safe and organized manner
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisor
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 year of loader experience.
  • Valid certification or license to operate front end loader machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and safety procedures.
  • Proficient in operating front end loaders to load and unload materials.
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance and troubleshooting of front end loader machinery.
  • Physically fit to perform manual labor and work in outdoor environments
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with other team members
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required by the job

Necessary Attributes:
  • Must possess the ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and integrity oriented with strong professional work ethics.
  • Identify and discuss all safety interlocks, alarms and shutdowns on your machine.
  • Preform a beginning and end of shift equipment inspection.
  • Locate and identify all components of the Bucket/Fork Disconnect System.
  • Locate all grease points.
  • Demonstrate the ability to correctly and safely load dirt/ gravel onto a truck.
  • The ability to switch attachments; fork, bucket, jib, etc.
  • Display understanding and use of the self-leveler.
  • Demonstrate the ability to safely and effectively pick up wind rows.
  • Demonstrate the ability to safely load/unload a truck using fork attachments.
