Job description

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Sr. Business Analyst to provide research support administration services for our government customer in Falls Church, VA.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop studies and analysis to improve the performance, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Generate and analyze programmatic data.
  • Obtain data on the operations and organizational factors and quantify it into objective data results and conclusions.
  • Conduct activities that foster teamwork and/or high functioning group processes that will allow the program and any particular project to function more efficiently.
  • Conduct development and data analysis studies as necessary to support strategic initiatives as well as ad hoc organizational studies as requested as time and funding allow.
  • Provide management analytics, administrative management, and business operations support for the customer.
  • Support and assist the customer's processes by researching and analyzing policies, procedures, and structures.
  • Recommend alternatives for operations to achieve optimal efficiency and effectiveness in meeting mission requirements in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Contribute to the general operations and duties of the office.
  • Work closely with the customer to identify, design, evaluate, prepare, train employees, develop new procedures, integrate processes, develop new forms, create reports, consult with management and staff regarding processes, and develop records management for filing protection and ensure compliance.
  • Work closely with the customer regarding various administrative and business needs.
  • Advise the customer regarding impact on programs, policies, procedures, and proposed changes to the policies to meet regulatory and/or organization standards.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

Bachelor's or higher degree in in any general business degree field or must have at least three years of experience as a Business Analyst.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years' experience as a Business Analyst (Senior) and in working with DoD military and/or civilian customers.
  • Must demonstrate a minimum of three (3) years of experience with blood banking and blood regulations.
  • Must possess analytical skills with the strong ability to interpret data, draw insights and identify pattens.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey findings to stakeholders.
  • Must have proficient technical skills in data analysis tools, business intelligence platforms and process modeling software.
  • Must have the ability to utilize problem-solving skills to identify root causes of issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Must express business acumen through the understanding of business operations, financial principles and industry dynamics.
  • Must possess the ability to build relationships and effectively manage expectations with diverse stakeholders.

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. (For the purposes of this work effort, green card and visa holders are not eligible to apply.)
  • Must be able to obtain a government CAC card.
  • Must be able to pass a Tier II Investigation for a Moderate Risk Public Trust Position
