Success as a Part Time Audio Editor requires a solid understanding of audio editing principles, familiarity with waveforms, and experience in sound mixing or production, often supported by relevant coursework or hands-on training. Proficiency with digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Pro Tools is typically necessary.
