Job Summary:
The CCGT AI & Robotics program includes a growing portfolio of robotics initiatives designed to enhance construction productivity, schedule performance and site safety on Bechtel Combined Cycle projects. As robotics technologies evolve from pilots to program-scale deployment, dedicated implementation leadership is essential to managing vendor relationships, site logistics, and stakeholder engagement across diverse and active project environments.
The Robotics Implementation Lead will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation of robotics solutions across CCGT project sites, from initial site assessment through deployment, commissioning, and operational handover. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, project management capability, and the ability to engage effectively with site teams, robotics vendors, and program leadership to deliver safe and effective robotics deployments. The role will report to the Infrastructure Manager of Innovation. #LI-MK1
Major Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation of robotics solutions across CCGT project sites, managing site assessment, deployment planning, commissioning, and operational handover activities.
  • Manage vendor relationships with robotics suppliers and technology partners, ensuring delivery against agreed scope, schedule, cost, and performance criteria.
  • Coordinate site logistics, health and safety requirements, and access arrangements for robotics deployment activities in active construction environments.
  • Develop and maintain implementation plans, deployment schedules, and progress reports for all robotics initiatives across the CCGT portfolio.
  • Engage with site superintendents, project managers, and HSE teams to integrate robotics solutions safely into active project environments.
  • Support the evaluation and selection of new robotics technologies, including participation in technology trials, proof-of-concept activities, and vendor assessments.
  • Analyze deployment and capture data to assess performance, support business cases, and identify opportunities to improve field execution.
  • Capture lessons learned and best practices from robotics deployments, contributing to the continuous improvement of the implementation methodology and playbook.
  • Coordinate with the AI Program team to align robotics initiatives with broader digital and AI delivery objectives and reporting requirements.
  • Monitor robotics performance metrics post-deployment and support ongoing optimization, troubleshooting, and stakeholder feedback integration.
  • Develop and deliver orientation and training for site teams on the safe and effective use of deployed robotics solutions.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Technology, or a related field, or 7+ years equivalent practical experience in technology implementation, automation engineering, or related roles, with at least 2 years involving robotics, autonomous systems, or advanced construction technology.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong understanding of construction field execution, deployment planning, and site operations in active project environments.
  • Experience managing technology deployments in active construction, industrial, or infrastructure project environments.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, site layouts, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively in dynamic, safety-critical field environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with site leadership, project teams, and technology vendors.
  • Ability to interpret and apply health, safety, and environment (HSE) requirements in the context of technology deployment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience with construction or inspection robotics platforms (e.g., Boston Dynamics Spot, drone inspection systems, autonomous ground vehicles, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with AI-powered robotics platforms and integration with data management or site management systems.
  • Knowledge of construction HSE standards and regulatory requirements relevant to autonomous technology deployment on active project sites.
  • Experience in an EPC, Infrastructure, heavy industry, or capital projects environment.
