To thrive as a Part Time Aesthetics professional, you need a background in skincare, cosmetic procedures, and typically a relevant license (such as an esthetician or cosmetology license). Familiarity with tools like microdermabrasion devices, lasers, and skincare product lines is often required, along with certifications in specialized treatments. Part-time aesthetics jobs involve providing beauty and skincare treatments, such as facials, waxing, and other non-surgical cosmetic services, on a part-time basis. These roles are often found in spas, salons, dermatology clinics, or medical aesthetics practices. Working part-time allows individuals to balance work with other commitments, while still gaining experience in the beauty industry. Responsibilities can vary depending on the employer, but typically include client consultations, performing treatments, and maintaining hygiene standards.

What are some common challenges faced by part-time aesthetics professionals, and how can they be managed?

Part-time aesthetics professionals often face challenges such as balancing a flexible schedule with client demand, staying up-to-date on the latest skincare techniques, and ensuring consistent client relationships. To manage these, it's important to maintain clear communication with clients regarding availability, regularly attend professional development workshops, and leverage digital tools to schedule appointments efficiently. Additionally, collaborating closely with team members helps ensure a smooth workflow and enhances the overall client experience.

Job description

Job Title: Primary Care Physician Aesthetics & MedSpa Focus (Part-Time)

Location: Gainesville, VA (Northern VA)

Schedule: Part-Time, Flexible 3-Day Work Week (No Evenings, No Weekends)

We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine Physician to join the booming MedSpa division at Lifetime Family Medicine. Celebrating our 20th anniversary of serving Northern Virginia, our independent, physician-led practice launched a state-of-the-art MedSpa in 2024. This dedicated part-time role is designed for a physician who wants to focus exclusively on aesthetic medicine, advanced wellness, and non-surgical cosmetics while stepping into an immediate, built-in patient base.

Position Highlights:

  • Exclusive Aesthetic & Clinical Longevity Scope: Deliver a full, premium menu of cash-pay and insurance-based aesthetic services. You will lead and expand our thriving medical weight loss programs, advanced neurotoxins and fillers, IV hydration therapy, and an array of light-based therapies using our three on-site clinical lasers. You will also have the opportunity to implement and grow cutting-edge, FDA-approved Hormone Replacement Therapies (HRTs).
  • Seamless Internal Referral Pipeline: Forget the financial risk and marketing stress of a standalone boutique. Our luxury MedSpa is located in the exact same building as our primary care practice, with connected lobbies that create a fluid, continuous flow for patients. You will inherit a warm, trusted stream of referrals from our multi-provider family medicine panels, supported by a dedicated marketing manager to maximize your growth.
  • Elite Support & Cross-Trained Team: Work in a premium medical spa environment alongside our team of physicians, nurse practitioners, experienced esthetician, and four dedicated, aesthetic-certified RNs. You will be paired with your own Medical Assistant and backed by two lead clinical nurses. Administrative friction is entirely removed; we utilize Aesthetic Record EMR with pre-built smart templates for laser settings and documentation, drastically reducing charting time.
  • The Ultimate Lifestyle Schedule: Enjoy an unparalleled balance of professional passion and personal flexibility with a standard 3-day work week. This role offers a highly predictable daytime schedule with no evening or weekend office commitments.
  • Premium Rewards & Ongoing Education: We offer a highly competitive compensation package featuring a guaranteed base salary and productivity bonus. Because aesthetic medicine evolves rapidly, we fully protect your growth by offering an uncompromised, full CME allowance and standard part-time benefits.

About Gainesville & Prince William County:

  • Upscale Suburban Comfort: Gainesville is one of Northern Virginia's most desirable suburbs, known for its beautiful residential golf communities, safe neighborhoods, and high quality of life.
  • Gateway to Virginia Wine Country: Located at the edge of the Piedmont region, residents enjoy immediate proximity to dozens of award-winning wineries, scenic horse country, and the historic charm of Middleburg.
  • Premier Shopping & Dining: The community features Virginia Gateway, a massive open-air shopping and entertainment destination offering high-end retail, a state-of-the-art cinema, and an incredible culinary scene.
  • Outdoor Paradise & Connectivity: From hiking the trails at Conway Robinson State Forest to exploring nearby Shenandoah National Park, Gainesville offers a peaceful, community-focused lifestyle within an easy commute to Fairfax and Washington, D.C.
