Job description

Global Adult Care Services LLC is a growing, small business dedicated to providing compassionate, person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are seeking reliable and caring Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our close-knit team. This is a great opportunity for someone who values meaningful work, flexible scheduling, and the potential to grow with an expanding organization.
As an individual member of our team, you, as a DSP, will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to live safely, independently, and with dignity—both at home and in the community.  WE ARE GROWING, COE BE APART OF SOMETHING MEANINGFUL!
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care, supervision, and companionship tailored to each individual’s needs
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, meal preparation, medication administration, and light housekeeping
  • Support individuals during community outings, appointments, and recreational activities; provide transportation as needed
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment
  • Complete accurate documentation, including daily notes and incident reports, in accordance with agency and state regulations
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and compliance standards, including Chapter 6400 regulations (as applicable)
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and families regarding individual needs and progress
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and respect at all times
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background checks and required clearances.
  • CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, and other mandated trainings (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience in caregiving, human services, or direct support is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills, patience, reliability, and a genuine commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities.
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs.
