Job description

Position Summary

The Flooring Installer is responsible for the accurate and efficient preparation and installation of flooring and wall surface materials in commercial and residential settings. This role requires a high level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety standards. The Flooring Installer must deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional and courteous presence on every job site. As a frontline representative of the company, the Flooring Installer is expected to embody Primera’s core values of Create Shareholder Value, Personal Accountability, Brand Ambassador, Solutions Driven, and Relationship Centered in every interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare flooring surfaces by inspecting conditions, ensuring proper leveling, and arranging of materials for correct fit, color, pattern, and design.
  • Apply appropriate underlayment, adhesives, and installation materials (including padding, thinset, moisture barriers, and other sundries) in accordance with product specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Install flooring materials according to customer requirements, vendor and industry standards, and work order specifications while maintaining quality craftsmanship and accuracy.
  • Measure, cut, stretch, and adjust materials as needed to ensure proper alignment, seams and finishes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site by removing debris, excess materials, and dust during and after installation.
  • Perform final clean-up of installed surfaces and surrounding areas to meet company and customer expectations.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of flooring layouts, drawings, and installation specifications required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Flooring Installer required
  • Experience in all phases of flooring installation required
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications required
  • Proficient in the use of stretching, power, and hand tolls required
  • Ability to travel as required to assigned job sites
  • Possession of reliable transportation and tools required
  • Valid NV driver’s license and clean MVR with a minimum of five (5) years of driving experience required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy required
  • Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality required
