POSITION SUMMARY: Accounting Associate (Part-Time)

The Accounting Associate plays a key role in supporting daily accounting operations and serves as a trusted resource to the CFO. This position is responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including accounts receivable/accounts payable, general ledger activity, month-end close support, reconciliations, and financial reporting.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage Accounts Receivable activities, including deposits, collections, and customer statements
  • Customer management: Set up new customers in ERP system; complete credit checks and maintain customer sales tax files, research payment status, process credit card payments, and monitor credit limits.
  • Oversee sales and use tax activities, including filing, paying, and recording necessary monthly taxes, and coordination with customers and state agencies.
  • Support month-end close and assist with special accounting projects as needed
  • Provide backup support for Accounts Payable functions during absences or peak workload periods

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role
  • Experience with sales tax software (e.g., Avalara or similar) preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Outlook
  • Experience with ERP systems; Acumatica experience a plus
