Position Summary

Dana-co LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Part-Time Accounting Assistant to support our accounting and finance team. This role will assist with accounts payable processing, vendor maintenance, reconciliations, recordkeeping, and general accounting support across multiple business entities.


The ideal candidate is highly organized, accurate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This position offers valuable exposure to a variety of accounting functions and may provide opportunities for expanded responsibilities and future full-time consideration based on performance and business needs.


Please note: This is an on-site position based in New York City. Candidates must currently reside in the New York metropolitan area and be able to commute to our Midtown Manhattan office. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.


Key Responsibilities

Review and process invoices with accuracy and completeness

Enter invoices into the accounting system and obtain appropriate approvals

Maintain accurate financial records and research discrepancies

Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve invoice-related issues in a timely manner

Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems

Support and assist additional accounting and administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in Accounting or related field preferred

12 years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills

Working knowledge of QuickBooks preferred

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Must be available to work onsite Monday through Friday in our New York City office


Work Environment

This position is based in our Midtown Manhattan office and requires regular on-site attendance. The schedule is approximately 24 hours per week during standard business hours.
