Part-Time, Evening Custodians – Henderson, NC

Pay Rate: $13.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6pm - 10pm

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodians to maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service while working independently and efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Floor Care

  • Sweep and damp mop hard-surface floors.

  • Vacuum and spot-clean carpeted areas.

  • Clean entrance lobby floors.

  • Sweep and/or vacuum stairways.

  • Sweep and damp mop kitchen and break room floors.

Restroom Cleaning

  • Clean and disinfect floors, fixtures, toilets, urinals, and sinks.

  • Clean mirrors, partitions, and tile walls.

  • Empty trash and sanitary receptacles.

  • Restock paper products, soap, and hygiene supplies.

General Cleaning

  • Dust furniture, windowsills, ledges, and office equipment.

  • Clean glass doors, partitions, and glass-top surfaces.

  • Clean break rooms, kitchens, coffee stations, and appliances.

  • Sanitize drinking fountains and common touchpoints.

  • Empty waste receptacles and replace liners.

  • Maintain janitorial closets in a clean and organized manner.

  • Ensure facilities are secured at the end of each shift by checking locks and alarms as assigned.

  • Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience preferred but not required.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

  • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.

  • Ability to push and maneuver cleaning carts, vacuums, mops, and other janitorial equipment.

  • Ability to climb stairs and work on multiple floors of a facility.

  • Ability to perform repetitive cleaning motions, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and wiping surfaces.

  • Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with company procedures.

  • Must be able to work in varying indoor environments and around cleaning odors and products.
