The Strategic Account Manager – Kroger will be responsible for executing the Kroger Account Strategy and identifying opportunities and developing fact-based selling stories that drive distribution and programming across the retailer.

Additional responsibilities for the Strategic Account Manager – Kroger include:

  • Grow overall Sazerac volume & share growth on both Private Label and National Brands (where applicable) in Kroger Corporate
  • Identify and sell in distribution and programming on Private Label, and where applicable, priority brand initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities that support our stated long-term objectives and use fact-based selling to secure distribution and promotional activity
  • Build Private Label Brands that justify programming, display and investment from Sazerac and Kroger
  • Develop relationships to the degree that Sazerac is considered a consultant, driven by mutual success and growth. Strengthen existing and develop new relationships with key Kroger personnel (GO & Division’s) via vertical call coverage and using internal CMS.
  • Fully accountable for setting up and managing the Private Label pricing structures for Kroger.
  • Secure, understand, and utilize national and state level pricing standards for Private Label & National Brands in order to act as Kroger's advocate and drive programming.
  • Develop tools and processes that lead to insights and actions. Likely sources will include Market 6, IRI, iDig, COGNOS, and Excel.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant sales or sales analytics experience, preferably with Kroger
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • A valid driver's license
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends)
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
