As our Data Architect, you’ll lead the design, governance, and modernization of our enterprise data architecture. You’ll ensure high-quality, trusted data is available across the business by building cloud-first solutions using Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, DB2, Cognos, and more. This highly visible role blends hands-on engineering with enterprise-level architecture leadership.

What You’ll Do

  • Align data architecture with enterprise strategy and drive scalable, reliable data systems.
  • Modernize and migrate legacy platforms (SQL Server, DB2) into Azure.
  • Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models, canonical models, and metadata standards.
  • Architect ELT/ETL pipelines using ADF, Synapse Pipelines, Fabric, and Databricks.
  • Govern data quality, lineage, metadata, MDM, and cataloging.
  • Optimize analytics platforms, including Cognos reporting and semantic models.
  • Contribute to architecture governance, roadmaps, and reference designs.
  • Communicate priorities and progress clearly for predictable execution.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years in data architecture or enterprise data engineering.
  • Bachelor’s in CS, IS, Engineering, or related field.
  • Deep experience with Azure Synapse, ADF, Data Lake, Azure SQL, Fabric, Databricks, DB2, and Cognos.
  • Strong data modeling (3NF, dimensional, Data Vault), SQL (T-SQL, DB2), integration design, and metadata expertise.
  • Solid understanding of cloud security, RBAC, encryption, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and ability to partner cross-functionally.
  • Analytical, proactive, and highly organized approach.

Preferred

  • Azure certifications (Data Engineer, Solutions Architect).
  • Experience with Purview, Informatica, Collibra, and Power BI.
  • Familiarity with TOGAF/Zachman frameworks.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP and Informatica.
