Job description

Littlefield is a 300-capacity performance venue in South Brooklyn presenting live music, comedy, podcast tapings, film, theater, and late-night dance events.

We are hiring an experienced A1-level engineer to join a small core team (3 total engineers). This is a high-responsibility role — you will be the primary operator responsible for keeping the room running.

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Wants consistent, hands-on work in a respected independent venue
  • Is comfortable running a room solo across multiple event types
  • Enjoys nightlife/hospitality and being part of a tight, reliable team

Key Responsibilities
  • Run audio, lighting, and video for a wide range of events
  • Troubleshoot live issues quickly
  • Maintain a professional, calm presence in a public-facing environment
  • Maintain venue equipment and update work log
  • Set up sound for DJ parties at Parklife, our sister restaurant & bar attached to the venue

Requirements
  • Proven A1 experience in a 200–300 cap room
  • Strong familiarity with DJ setups and dance party workflows
  • Comfortable with digital routing and live troubleshooting
  • Experience with Behringer X32 (or similar digital consoles)
  • Familiarity with ETC EOS lighting systems is a plus
  • Theater tech experience is a plus
  • Must be available Friday and Saturday nights, often until 4AM

Details
  • Minimum 6 shifts/month, with opportunity for consistent weekly work
  • Pay rate: $30/hour
  • Shift times vary by event
  • Training with Production Manager required before first paid shift
