Location: Albuquerque, NM

Salary: $90,000 to $110,000

Status: Full-time; on site

We are excited to hire a Paraplanner with a strong record of supporting advisors and delivering exceptional service to clients. As a Paraplanner, you will work directly with our Financial Advisors, help to take notes and create action item lists based on client meetings, help build and execute unique financial plans for each client based on their individual needs, onboard and service clients through each phase of the planning lifecycle, and much more as part of our team.

As a Paraplanner, in your new role, you can expect to:

  • Foster excellent relationships with clients through exemplary service
  • Answer client questions with both poise and urgency
  • Help advisors prepare for client meetings and reviews
  • Keep detailed notes of all client conversations and requests
  • Proactively assist advisors in anticipating client needs
  • Enter data into client financial planning software to build plans which satisfy client needs at the discretion of the financial advisor team
  • Build actionable agendas after client meetings and collaborate with our advisors, operations, and client service staff to ensure timely follow-up on all items
  • Create projections regarding retirement and education funding timelines which reflect the unique needs of clients
  • Maintain mutual fund, annuity, stock, and other investment vehicle recommendation lists
  • Help create newsletters which engage and educate our clients
  • Ensure that all client meeting notes, communications, and other information are accurately updated in our CRM
  • Prepare financial and investment projections for clients
  • Consolidate investment research from various research providers, and maintain internal investment recommended lists
  • Conduct fund research and maintain awareness of news and trends relevant to the investment industry
  • Onboard new clients, review client statements, open accounts, and execute trade requests and transfers
  • Master existing policies and procedures while identifying potential improvements

Qualifications for this opportunity include:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Series 7 and Series 66/ Series 63 + Series 65 required
  • 2+ years in a Paraplanner or Associate Financial Advisor role required
  • 3+ years of experience in wealth management industry required
  • Strong understanding of mutual fund, stock, bond, annuity, and insurance products required
  • Experience in tax analysis, retirement planning, and trust and estate planning preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Proficiency with common office technologies and ability to learn new systems
  • Proven track record of going above and beyond to support both clients and colleagues
  • Familiarity with NFS, PPS (Preferred Portfolio Services), or MoneyGuidePro preferred
  • Intellectual curiosity and passion for our industry
