Job description

Independent Financial Advisor — succession opportunity

Full-time book of business transition, 4–6 year timeline

About the opportunity:

We are a well-established independent financial advisor practice looking for a motivated, seasoned advisor to join our team with a clear path to owning and operating our existing book of business. This is a rare opportunity for the right person to step into a thriving practice, build meaningful client relationships, and take full ownership over a structured 4–6 year transition period.

If you're an experienced advisor who is entrepreneurial at heart, values long-term client relationships, and is ready to build something of your own — this role was designed for you.

What you'll do

· Manage and grow an existing client portfolio, providing comprehensive financial planning and investment advice

· Work closely with the current advisors through a structured knowledge and client transition process

· Develop and execute personalized financial strategies aligned with each client's goals and risk tolerance

· Build trust with existing clients and expand the practice through referrals and networking

· Maintain full compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices

Requirements

What we're looking for:

· Minimum 5 years of experience as a licensed financial advisor

· Demonstrated track record of client retention, growth, and relationship management

· Strong self-motivation and the drive to work independently with minimal oversight

· Genuine interest in eventually owning and operating an independent financial practice

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — you build trust naturally

· Current and in good standing with all applicable licensing requirements

Nice to have:

· CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) designation — strongly preferred and considered a significant asset

· Experience with financial planning software and CRM platforms

· Existing professional network or demonstrated ability to source new client

Benefits

What's we offer:

· A clearly defined succession plan with full ownership transition over 4–6 years

· Competitive compensation structure tied to book performance and growth

· Mentorship and knowledge transfer from seasoned advisors committed to your success

· Flexibility and autonomy in how you manage and grow your practice

Ready to take the next step?

If you're an experienced, self-driven advisor looking for more than just another job — this is your chance to build something lasting. Send your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and your vision for your practice to dave@meifinancialgroup.com. We look forward to a confidential conversation.
