Position Title:    Financial Planner

Reports to:        SVP

Department:      Simplicity Wealth: Protected Tomorrows             

Location:           Lincolnshire, IL   (in-office, full-time)

Classification:   Full Time/Exempt

Summary / Job Objective:  Protected Tomorrows, a Simplicity Commitment, is adding to our financial planning team.  We are seeking an individual who is a disciplined, methodical, highly motivated, tech-savvy learner, who consistently performs at a high level under variable workloads, and has a passion for making a positive impact on clients’ lives.  The candidate will develop and implement financial plans to achieve clients’ long-term goals, such as retirement, savings, investing and estate planning.  The candidate will assess clients’ financial situations, design personalized strategies, and provide ongoing support and guidance. At Protected Tomorrows, a Simplicity Group Commitment, we serve many families with special needs, and combine financial plans with our social service acumen to create holistic plans for our clients.

Essential Job Functions:  

·         Financial Assessment: Analyze clients’ financial situation, including income, expenses, assets, liabilities and goals 

·         Plan Development: Create comprehensive financial plans tailored to each client’s needs

·         Client Communication and Education: Educate clients about financial concepts, products and risk, and communicate effectively about their financial plan and progress

·         Investment Management: Assist clients with investment decisions and recommend appropriate investment strategies

·         Retirement Planning: Help clients plan retirement, including saving strategies, determining retirement needs, and utilizing the appropriate retirement accounts.

·         Tax Planning: Provide guidance on tax strategies such as minimizing tax liabilities and utilizing tax-advantaged accounts.

·         Estate Planning: Assist clients with estate planning, including wills, trusts and other estate planning documents.

·         Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, provide ongoing support and guidance, and monitor their financial progress.

·         Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and guidelines

·         Staying Current: Keeping updated on financial products, regulations and best practices

·         Developing New Business: Identify and attract new clients

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s Degree

·         Series 65, CFP, Insurance Licenses a benefit

·         Technical Skills: High proficiency with CRM systems, planning software, Google, Microsoft Office

·         Special Needs: Having experience in the special needs community is a benefit

Competencies:

·         Process Orientation: methodically follow guidelines for accuracy

·         Organized: Manage multiple tasks, deadlines and access resources efficiently

·         Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify issues or concerns and make informed decisions

·         Problem-Solving Skills: Identify and resolve issues that arise during a planning process

 Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation (based on experiences and licenses)

  • Base salary:  $65,000 - $80,000
  • This is an exempt position
  • Annual performance bonus target: 10%
