Benton and Bosser envisioned a law firm that specialized in both advising and advocating on behalf of clients, with a goal to create a preeminent law firm in Appleton with one group of attorneys concentrating on litigation, and one group of attorneys concentrating on business and personal legal matters. Over the years, the firm has grown and evolved but has stayed true to the vision established by Benton and Bosser, and remains dedicated to providing its clients with timely, practical and cost-effective services of the highest quality.


Job Description: We are currently seeking a Paralegal for our Appleton location. Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Prepare and draft estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related ancillary documents

· Assist attorneys with sophisticated wealth transfer strategies, including generation-skipping transfer planning, gifting programs, family limited partnerships, and irrevocable trust administration

· Gather and organize client financial information, including asset schedules, business interests, brokerage accounts, real estate holdings, and insurance policies.

· Coordinate client intake meetings and assist with collecting information necessary for estate plan design and implementation

· Prepare summaries of client assets, family structures, and estate planning objectives for attorney review

· Maintain estate planning files and ensure all documents are accurately organized, executed, and stored

· Coordinate document signing ceremonies, supervise execution formalities, and arrange for notarization and witness requirements

· Communicate with clients, financial advisors, accountants, trust officers, insurance professionals, and family office representatives regarding planning matters

· Assist with trust funding by preparing asset transfer documents, reviewing ownership records, and coordinating retitling of assets

· Prepare deeds, assignment documents, beneficiary designation forms, and related transfer documentation

· Track implementation of estate plans and monitor completion of trust funding requirements

· Assist with estate and trust administration matters, including probate filings, trust accountings, asset inventories, and fiduciary correspondence

· Maintain critical filing deadlines and monitor tax-related due dates for trusts, estates, and gifting transactions

· Conduct legal and factual research related to estate planning, trust administration, fiduciary responsibilities, and wealth transfer strategies

· Prepare correspondence, memoranda, and reports for attorney review

· Review estate planning documents for consistency, accuracy, and compliance with attorney instructions

· Assist with preparation of gift tax, estate tax, and generation-skipping transfer tax information for coordination with tax professionals

· Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive financial, family, and business information

· Support attorneys in implementing complex planning structures for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families

· Manage multiple matters simultaneously while ensuring exceptional client service and attention to detail


Education and Experience:

· Experience in estate planning, probate, trust administration, or wealth planning

· Knowledge of trust structures, estate tax concepts, and wealth transfer techniques

· Strong organizational and project management skills

· Ability to work with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and professional advisors

· Advanced proficiency with estate planning software, document management systems, and Microsoft Office applications

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· High degree of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail
