Job description

StraitSys Inc Regular Primary Function: The Contractor shall provide historical forensic research and documentation support to assist in the organization, assessment, and closure of legacy case files. The role requires strong archival research capability, precise documentation skills, and consistent adherence to forensic and security protocols. Essential Duties: * Historical Archives Research: Conduct comprehensive historical forensic research on legacy case files stored within official archives. * Document Optimization: Systematically organize and maintain legacy case documents to enhance accessibility and support ongoing investigative needs. * Data Compilation: Compile detailed, clear, and accurate research findings to support efficient case review processes. * Summary Drafting: Draft thorough research summaries for final review, verification, and use by currently qualified personnel in support of legacy case closures. * Operational Collaboration: Work closely with current technical staff to ensure historical documentation meets quality, procedural, and archival standards. * SOP & Security Adherence: Follow all applicable SOPs, guidelines, confidentiality requirements, and security protocols when handling sensitive forensic materials. Desired Skills & Competencies: * Proven ability to conduct detailed archival or historical research, including document retrieval, evaluation, and interpretation. * Strong analytical and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage complex case files and large volumes of documentation. * Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, comprehensive, and accurate summaries and reports. * Proficiency in maintaining structured documentation systems and applying document control standards. * Ability to work collaboratively with technical personnel, adhering consistently to established procedures and quality requirements. * Familiarity with forensic workflows, chain-of-custody principles, or legacy forensic protocols. Preferred Qualifications: * Former certification as a forensic examiner under recognized forensic quality systems. * Practical experience working with legacy forensic documentation, evidence records, or historical case files. * Experience operating within controlled or classified environments requiring strict adherence to security protocols. Required Education: * Bachelor's degree; in Forensic Science, Engineering, or related discipline. * Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. * Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI if required.
