Job description

Senior Network/Systems Tools Engineer to support the Intelligence Sector.
The job duties are as follows:
โ€ข System Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain the OpenText Network Operations Management (NOM) system architecture, with a specific focus on the Operations Bridge for the Transformation and Integration Cloud (OPTIC) Data Lake, ensuring a scalable, resilient, and secure platform for enterprise network management, performance monitoring, and compliance reporting.
โ€ข Security & Compliance: Provide SME support and guidance to junior administrators and operators that manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within NOM to ensure data security and compliance.
โ€ข Administration & Maintenance: Plan, install, configure, secure, upgrade, and patch the OPTIC Data Lake (DL) in containerized environments (e.g., Kubernetes). Conduct similar duties for the Juniper Routing Director (formerly Paragon), which runs Kubernetes with a Linux base OS. Develop and maintain API integrations using REST APIs and connectors to connect both platforms with other enterprise systems and applications.
โ€ข Performance & Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance and stability of the OpenText NOM and OPTIC DL systems, proactively identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
โ€ข Configuration: Configure and manage data ingestion into the OPTIC Data Lake, ensuring seamless integration of topology, events, and metrics from various sources.
โ€ข Data Management & Reporting: Administer the OPTIC DL, including data ingestion, storage, backup, and restore processes, and manage Stakeholder Dashboards and reports for capacity planning and trend analysis.
โ€ข Troubleshooting & Support: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to installation, configuration, performance, and integrations, working with vendor support when necessary.
