Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works as part of the production crew with a main focus on preparing the machine for the production run, according to the customer order
Assists with running orders when the machine is ready by watching the run continue smoothly and without problem.
May need to work with management, maintenance, and other company employees to fix the problem.
Follow all OSHA requirements and safety rules.
Read and understand run sheets.
Watch belts, lifts, and tracks for nonconforming products and/or other related problems.
Make sure all stacks are to communicated presentation standards, put ties in when needed, and insert load tag in bale.
Perform P.M. and housekeeping duty as detailed in equipment specific instruction
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Graduate or GED.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, such as schedules and orders.
Must be willing to work overtime on short notice, including weekends
Ability to work in manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures based on season, around machinery, and heavy Forklift traffic.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
One year of verifiable work history.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1 + year of experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
  • Starting salary for position: $23.59 per hour.
  • Bonus: Annual - Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
  • Paid Vacation: 2 weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
  • Paid Holidays.
  • Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependants) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverage -- medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverage.
  • Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions
