POSITION SUMMARY

The jogger stacks, jogs, bundles, palletizes, etc., all printed material from the press as directed. Assists other personnel in press set-up, maintenance and cleanliness.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions:

  • Stack books from operating printing presses onto pallets or directly into shipping boxes.
  • Review printed material regularly for any errors and notify Head Pressperson immediately of discrepancies.
  • Move loaded pallets to designated storage area.
  • Learn basic press functions: set-up and adjustment of stackers; and use, handling and storage of chemicals.
  • Learn emergency “stop” press procedure.
  • Ensure general cleanliness of press from last unit to roll stand and the area around and in between presses.
  • Learn responsibilities of Roll Tender position.
  • Follow safety guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Additional duties as assigned by Manager.
