Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Creates Build Plans and coordinates labor with team leads
  • Sets daily production goals and hold team accountable to those goals
  • Oversees training of new machine builders, completing documentation when necessary
  • Collects, analyzes, and presents data for the SQDC boards
  • Initiates disciplinary action as necessary
  • Enforces all polices and procedures
  • Train new hires on job processes including crane, rigging, and forklift
  • Provide input on performance reviews and employee relation issues

Complete floor layouts

Requirements:

  • 10+ ย years of machine building experience
  • Thorough knowledge of blueprints, schematics
  • Previous experience leading a team or mentoring employees
  • Thorough knowledge of shop math skills including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Team Oriented; ability to communicate effectively and get along with fellow employees
  • Regular attendance and daily punctuality are necessary
  • Ability to work overtime when needed and occasional weekends required
  • Extremely detailed orientated
  • Clear, concise, and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multitask and have high level of organizational skills
  • Able to maintain a safe and clean work environment while complying with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations
  • Safely operate a forklift and overhead crane
  • Must be able to use power tools and have own hand tools
  • Computer skills in Excel, Word and email
