Job description

Starting Rate: $23.00 (additional $2.00 for 2nd / 3rd shifts)

Work Hours: 7AM-3PM; 3PM-11PM; 11PM-7AM (Rotating shifts) Weekends as needed

Location: Willard, OH
 

As a Flat Cutter Operator, you will:

  • Prepare and lay out jobs for cutting on the flat cutter machine
  • Input sheet image data into the flat cutter computer system
  • Removes paper stacks ("lifts") from skids or jogging machine and places them in trimmer to cut job
  • Operates stacker by taking paper from trimmer and loading into stacker
  • Apply load flags to finished pallets and maintain accurate production counts and daily reports
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work area
  • Troubleshoot issues and submit requests for maintenance as needed
  • Change knives and sticks as needed to ensure optimal machine performance
  • Assist with training others as needed
  • Assist in process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality 
  • Strong ruler-reading and measurement skills

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating a flat cutter
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to read job instructions and use a ruler
  • Must be able to rotate shifts in a 3 shift - operation and work daily / weekly overtime as required. 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Safety conscious
